Karate-Do Shurenkan is proud to operate one of the most beautiful dojo in all of the United States. The dojo which occupies 2100 sq. feet of commercial space, was opened in 2004. The decor and atmosphere of the school, transports one back to Japan, the birthplace of our art.

The dojo is fully equipped to handle the rigors of karate training. To ensure the safety of our students, the training area is covered in 2" Zebra Tatami mats. These Olympic style judo mats allow us to train the sweeps and throws that form a major part of our curriculum. while reducing the likelihood of injuries. In addition there is an assortment of modern and traditional equipment, essential to our training and conditioning methods. This includes weight training equipment, a heavy bag, kicking shields, jump ropes, medicine balls, kettlebells, and makiwara.

We have a seating area for guests wishing to observe a class, and/or parents waiting for their children. A Kamidana can be found at the Shomen, while pictures of the Shurenkan family, past and present, adorn the walls.

Karate-do Shurenkan is centrally located on Broadway in Bayonne, NJ. . It is easily accessible by public transportation and plenty of street parking is available.
